Lobby local political representatives – both elected members of the legislature and significant figures such as civil rights and poverty activists, trade unionists and individuals in faith communities. We hope to make material available such as postcards, email templates, and so on. Speakers are also available.

Petition Against Sanctions to be Heard by Canadian Government
March 29, 2018
We today heard from the clerk of petitions who writes “This is to inform you that petition e-1353, which you have submitted on the e-petitions website of the House of Commons, has been certified for presentation to the House. ”
The petition has thus reached the required number of signatures and will be presented to the House. Thanks to all who helped. With Venezuela’s elections due in May, it is all the more important that the election should proceed free from external interference, that the results should be respected by the international community, and that the people of Venezuela should be allowed to govern their own destiny following the election.
Now is the time for more action. We suggest that you contact your local member of parliament and request that she/he support the petition when it is presented. If your MP needs further information, there is material on this site and we can supply answers to any questions they may have.
Congratulations, and keep up the momentum,
